Create labels that team members can add on projects and tasks
Labels are individually defined for each project team and provide a powerful way to logically group projects, milestones or tasks. Within the project overview, labels are organized by color-coding each task.
Labels are defined for each team, and needs to be created on the respective team page. Follow this link to your teams, which also is accessible via the drop-down menu next to your email address at the upper right. Then select the respective team and scroll to the Labels area.
Click on the
Add new label button, name your label and save it with just pressing Enter. Tada, that's all! If you like, you can choose a different color by clicking on the color in front of your label.
You can also rename it by clicking on the name and typing a new one. It will be automatically saved.
Delete a label with clicking on the small
x icon at the end of the label entry. It will be removed from the team page and from all assigned objects.
Assign labels to projects, subtasks, tasks and milestones
Now your labels can be assigned to tasks, milestones and projects in a convenient and easy-to-use way.
Load your project or task in the Schedule Manager and open the inspector by clicking the
i symbol on the right side of the row. Scroll down to the Labels section and click on the
+ Add label button. By typing some letters you're able to quickly search for the desired label. Just click to assign it to your task.
All assigned labels are sorted alphabetically in a list. There you can see to which team the label belongs and you also can remove the label from the object by clicking the small
x at the end of the entry.
Although the responsibilities can be easily identified by the color-coded labels, this approach certainly has its limits when organizing projects with several hundred deliverables. Find out how filtering helps.
