Collaboration is key to RPLAN Connect and it offers different ways to invite new people to RPLAN. You can invite people to RPLAN Connect, invite someone while granting access rights to tasks and projects and create teams to work together.
Invite people to be part of your RPLAN Connect contacts
Another way to work together with others is to invite them to RPLAN Connect. If they are part of your contacts you can easily choose them from a contact list and share everything you like.
Go to your contacts and click the
+ Invite user button. A dialog will be opened where you can add the user's email adress and a message, if you like. After clicking the
Send button the invited user gets an email with a contact request with an invitation link from RPLAN Connect.
You'll find your already known users in the user contacts section with an additional information about your current connection to the user. In the invitations section you find all your sent invitations that haven't yet been accepted, listed as pending. And an additional information if the invitation link is still valid or has expired during the time.
Invite people with granting access rights directly to your project
Click on the
i symbol on the right side of a row to access the Inspector. In the Permission section you can click on the select-box
Grant permission which opens a list of already known users. Thereunder you can choose the option
+ Invite user. Type the user's email address in the input field, choose a role right to the input and confirm with clicking the
+ button next to it.
A dialog will be opened where you can add a message if you like. Then just click
Send. We will send a contact request with an invitation link to the specified email address, which is valid for two month.
The invited user will be displayed with his granted role as Pending invitation in the permission list. After successfully joining RPLAN Connect he will displayed with his name or email address.
The roles differ regarding to the access rights to read and edit objects. You can edit the role any time with clicking on the displayed role in the list entry. Choose another one in the select-box and the changes to the access rights become active immediately.
If you want to remove a permission for a collaborator from your object, click the
… icon on the right side and choose
Remove permission. Thus, the user immediately loses all associated rights to the object.
